Quinn Santini

Meet Quinn Santini, a four-year-old girl who brings joy everywhere she goes. This July, Quinn is celebrated the four-year anniversary of her heart transplant, a day she and her parents will remember forever. After being diagnosed with a serious heart disorder called dilated cardiomyopathy at just two weeks old, Quinn was placed on the waiting list for a life-saving heart transplant.

After many late nights, tears, and prayers, the Santini’s lives were changed forever when a heart became available due to the selfless choice that a donor family made in their darkest hour. After Quinn’s transplant surgery, her life improved quickly.

Quinn began preschool last year with no medical worries and hasn’t looked back. Quinn’s mother, Kellie, is reminded of Quinn’s heart transplant daily and can’t thank her donor enough. Kellie said “We often say it’s almost as if she’s a completely different child. Her heart truly brought her back to life. We are aware of that daily, not just in the huge milestones of attending school. When she radiates joy by doing all the things she loves, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for her donor that gave her life. ”

When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Quinn constantly changes her interests, but most recently has decided to become a teacher or a princess. Quinn will begin her second year of preschool this fall and her parents couldn’t be happier.
