In 2018, Lauren Gydosh, of Womelsdorf, PA, saw an opportunity to save a life through living donation, when her friend and coworker, who was on dialysis at the time, needed a kidney transplant.

Lauren went through three months of testing to see if there was any chance she could help. Miraculously the two friends had the same blood type and she was the perfect match.
Since the transplant, both Lauren and her recipient are doing well. Her friend is off dialysis and living her life to the fullest to thanks to Lauren.

Today, Lauren spends her free time painting. She loves air balloons, which inspired her artwork for the Donate Life Art Contest, which she recently won in 2021!
