Jameson McKain
PA
Heart transplant recipient
Born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a condition that prevents the left side of the heart from developing, Jameson McKain underwent four open-heart surgeries before his first birthday.
At 11 months-old, he received a life-saving heart transplant from a 4-month old girl who sadly passed away. The girl’s parents chose to donate her organs, giving Jameson a second chance at life.
Now, Jameson lives a healthy and happy life. In 2012, the McKains founded Jameson’s Army, an organization dedicated to spreading awareness about the importance of organ donation and raises money for families going through the organ transplant process.
