Chance Dull
Donation Recipient
Thirteen years ago, after being diagnosed with a rare fatal cancer, Chance Dull received the gift of organ donation.
At only seven-years-old, the Bedford native was diagnosed with a liver sarcoma after his mother felt a lump in his stomach. Chance endured months of treatment that left him incredibly weak and bedridden.
With his chances of survival dwindling, doctors placed him onto a transplant list. After only a few months, he received a new liver.
Now 21 years old, Chance has a strong appreciation for life. He loves sports and has been involved with wrestling, baseball, and football. He takes his health very seriously by eating healthy and working out.
Chance has plans to become a physical therapy assistant and said that someday he would like to take over his father’s health club in Maryland.
“Being sick definitely changed my outlook on life because I was given a second chance and I’m grateful that I’m still here,” Chance says.
In their free time, Chance and his family like to give back to their community by volunteering for the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
